ChatGPT vs. Bing Chat: A Comparison of Two AI Chatbots

Comparison of two AI chatbots

AI chatbots are becoming more popular and powerful by the day. They help with a variety of tasks such as writing, coding, researching, and even creating images. But which chatbot should you use for your blog posts? In this article, we compare two of the most advanced AI chatbots available today.
ChatGPT and Bing Chat.

What are ChatGPT and Bing Chat?

Both ChatGPT and Bing Chat are AI chatbots that use natural language processing (NLP) to understand and respond to messages. Both are based on the GPT language model developed by OpenAI, but run different versions and differ in how they process input.

Since July 2023, Bing has been using a trial version of his GPT 4 model, while ChatGPT is based on the older GPT 3.5 Turbo model. Both chatbots can be customized based on the language model as follows: B. Various input methods and interface features, especially Bing’s integration with applications such as Edge and Skype. ## How do I access ChatGPT and Bing Chat?

ChatGPT and Bing Chat can be accessed through a web interface or other platforms that integrate with them. For example, you can use Bing Chat with your Microsoft account at, as a sidebar in Microsoft Edge, as a chatbot in Skype, or in the Bing mobile app. ChatGPT can be used with email accounts, as an API for developers, or as an iOS app for mobile users.

However, there are some limitations and differences in how these chatbots are accessed. For example, Bing’s web interface blocks all browsers except Microsoft Edge, with no workaround. Also, Bing limits prompts to 2,000 characters, while ChatGPT has a much higher limit (not officially stated). Additionally, ChatGPT offers a paid subscription called ChatGPT Plus, which gives you access to GPT-4 and other features like web browsing with Bing.

What can I do with ChatGPT and Bing Chat?

ChatGPT and Bing Chat can do a lot with natural language input. They can chat about various topics, authors of content (e.g. blog posts, summaries, headlines, etc.), generate code snippets (e.g. HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.), and ask factual questions (e.g. : who is who). President of France, what is the capital of Brazil, etc.).

However, there are some differences in how these tasks are performed. for example:

  • Bing Chat may perform web searches and provide links and recommendations based on what you enter. You can also concisely summarize complex answers. ChatGPT can’t index information on the web in real time, but with plugins it will eventually be possible. Limited to training data in the model dating back to September 2021.
  • Bing Chat can generate creative content such as images using DALL·E, a neural network that can create images from text descriptions. For example, you can ask Bing to draw a picture of a cat wearing a hat. ChatGPT can only generate text content, but DALL E can also be used if you have a paid subscription to the OpenAI Codex.

Which chatbot should you use?

  • The answer depends on your needs and preferences. If you want free access to GPT-4 (OpenAI’s most advanced and powerful language model), Bing Chat is the good choice for now. Bing Chat is also a good choice if you want a more integrated and customized way to find answers and generate content in your web browser. However, if you want more control over your input and output, or prefer to use a browser other than Edge, ChatGPT may be a better choice. Additionally, if you want more powerful integrations and plugins that can help you with a variety of tasks beyond chat and content generation, ChatGPT is the right choice.

After all, both chatbots are impressive examples of what AI can do with natural language processing. Both chatbots change rapidly, and neither chatbot provides the same exact answer to a given prompt every time. Your results may vary depending on the prompts used here. The best way to find out which chatbot is best for you is to try it yourself and see what it can do.
